About the Award

Female Recognition Ahead of The International Women’s Day

This list is designed to recognize female entrepreneurs and career women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and has made a significant impact in her community and industry.

The recipient of this recognition is someone who has inspired and empowered others to follow their lead and has made a lasting impact through their work. This list recognizes a woman whose impact in the early stages of her business or career and is poised for continued success.

What are the Nomination Criteria?

Age and Gender:

The nominee must be an African woman under the age of 30 at the time of application.

Nationality:

The nominee must be African by birth or nationality.

Founder Status:

The nominee must be the founder or co-founder of a business.

Business Longevity:

The nominee’s business must have been operational for a minimum of five (5) years.

Impact:

The nominee must have made significant contributions to her industry and must demonstrate considerable social, economic, or community impact through her business.

Innovation:

The nominee must show evidence of innovation, creativity, or unique problem-solving within her industry or sector.

Leadership:

The nominee must demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and have a track record of inspiring others.

Business Success:

The nominee’s business must be actively operating and show measurable indicators of success or growth.

Industry:

Nominees from all sectors and industries are eligible.
