Keeping on top of trends and introducing foreign concepts into the market with Isaac Ansah (Founder, Africa Fashion Week Toronto)
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
While foreign fashion trends were beginning to open up to African inspired looks, fabrics and designs, Isaac Ansah was right at the centre to grab the opportunity with both hands. His session will shed light on keeping on top of trends and introducing foreign concepts into the market. His career in fashion began with organising weekend fashion shows at university on campus, inviting students from different cultures to showcase their styles of clothing. By the time he graduated, Ansah knew this where his heart was and quickly launched Imagine Management & Marketing, which coordinates events in Toronto's fashion and beauty industry. In 2012, he co-founded African Fashion Week Toronto, as a platform for local and international fashion designers to showcase their latest products — and bring a bit of diversity to the forefront. Isaac is now a brand management and marketing specialist and is a Co-Founder of African Fashion Canada, an agency dedicated to advocating, growing, and promoting the African fashion Industry in North America.
